Grandma’s back yard and Tulip Time in Holland, Michigan

There is nothing that compares to the blossoming of Spring, and the flowers delighted both of the girls.  Clara was so excited to hear that there was a tulip festival and Nathan’s Aunt Carol was kind enough to lend the girls Dutch costumes to wear to it.  They looked very authentic and were repeatedly asked for photo-ops!  Clara, however, had no interest in being a model and Elisabeth didn’t quite get the idea, though I have a feeling her personality will eventually develop into more of a performer!

They both enjoyed watching the Klompen-dancing and Clara almost ran out into the street to join the performers.  I don’t think they have any Kinder-Klompen in Houston!

OHhh, Erin, I just missed you at Tulip Festival - I had both Summer's girls, Heidi Anne and Elsa out on Wednesday for the parade downtown - I clearly remember the adventure since it was one of the earliest warm days we've ever had - 85 degrees the day we went. The girls loved the floats and especially the ice cream at Kilwins. Maybe we can meet again after your move to Chicago. Your mom said you are looking at the Naperville area - so much to do in the area. Of course, you'll have to go to Dave's Chick-fil-A!!!
Enjoyed my recent visit to Florida and a long chat with your mom - it's always so much fun to connect again -
